Job Description:

• The Systems Analyst Senior interfaces with the engagement center, clients, corporate departments and IT development to assist in managing IT related projects.

• This individual serves as subject matter expert for system applications and IT related processes. In addition to overseeing IT related projects, this individual may create test scripts, conduct level 2 testing and document results.

• Serves as a subject matter expert for end user testing.

• This individual will ensure the delivery of excellent service to internal and external customers across multiple clients and products.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead for various IT related projects and implementations.

• Reports project status to leadership team via written reports and documentation.

• Interfaces with Service Centers, Corporate Support Departments and IT development teams to identify business requirements, develop and implement solutions and provide service and training to those requiring IT support.

• Analyze business requirements and develop design specifications that include business rules, data mapping tables, logical flow charts, edit logic, etc.

• Participates in a coordination role, to ensure that task prioritization falls within the corporate strategic direction. Leads/participates in joint application design sessions for new and enhanced system development efforts.

• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a good understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

• Serves as the primary liaison between IT technical staff and end users of IT systems, processes and workflows.

• Develops testing scenarios/scripts. Conducts Level 2 testing for development initiatives while documenting testing results. Serves as a SME (subject matter expert) for Level 3 (end user) testing.

• Ensures design specifications are appropriately documented, revisions maintained and stored in appropriate shared folders through the development implementation, and support life cycles.

• Demonstrates competency to consider most business implications of the application of technology in the current business environment.

• Supports training and development of training materials.

• Responsible for defining and managing the scope of business systems projects.

 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Manages integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system.

• Creates feature test strategies and environment needs.

• Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.

• Applies and mentors use of tools to define requirements.

• Anticipates and identifies opportunities for improvement.

• Ensures high level designs including architecture requirements are accurately documented and map to approved requirements.

• Assists in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs.

• Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.

• Aids in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.

• Provides on call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.

Required Skills:
- Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years business analysis experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

- Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.

- If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a 'sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions.

- Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive data handling instructions.

- Associates in these jobs must follow the specific policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. as stated by the Government Business Division in which they are employed.

Desired Skills:
• Experience testing/product quality processes tools and methods strongly preferred.
• Project management experience and training in facilitation strongly preferred.

Three to four years of experience in application development and/or analytical role or equivalent work experience. 
• Three to four years of experience leading and managing projects.
• Healthcare industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.
• Has detailed understanding of application functionality, system design and file structures.

• Uses IT knowledge and PC software application skills to complete detailed design specifications for development teams
• Through excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effective leadership, planning, process management and information analysis, this individual will continually promote a customer-focused environment and support the client for all system needs.
• The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills.

YOE Requirement:

- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fieldof study and a minimum of three (3) years of experience with documenting requirements and/or building test cases for a variety of technologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
