- You will act as a general-purpose Software Engineer and Analytical Support for two dozen teams across many different problem-sets. You will bring your unique skill set to a team of peers to solve problems that arise in an expedited manner. Speed, efficiency and accuracy are the typical requirements for given tasks, so tactical development, quick iterations, and close feedback loops with the users are expected. You will work with data from all ranges of millions of tiny records to a massive dump of information, and you will be expected to coordinate with the team to implement a way to bring manageable, queryable, useful information out of whatever data is given. Creativity in the problem-solving process will be heavily favored in order to produce quick turnaround solutions. You will develop analytics and tools that are custom tailored to your supporting teams’ needs while also coordinating with
other corporate entities when there is clear overlap of functionality. We are a mix between Software Engineers and Customer Support, we listen to our analysts’ problems and hardships and take our unique engineering knowledge and come up with solutions. You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, as well as other software engineers in your team, and spread out

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with analysts and team members to understand and satisfy user’s needs.
- Build custom tools, scripts, analytics to parse and normalize data.
- Create solutions quickly and iterate with customers often.
- Utilize existing corporate tools and teams where appropriate.
- Augment the team’s existing tools or assist corporate tools when there are problems.
- Utilize the team’s communication channels to understand when to broaden the scope of a tool to support multiple efforts.
- Create products that make our users happy.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Datastores/Databases (SQL, Elastic, etc.).
- Ability to write scripts, preferably python.
- Experience interacting with customers.
- Experience with front end JavaScript development (React and Typescript).
- Familiarity with Git, Confluence, and Linux.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Big Data (Map reduce, large scale analytics, Machine Learning, etc.).
- Devops or Docker experience.
- Knowledge of Network analysis (Net mapping, Packet Analysis, Network topology,etc.).
YOE Requirement:
- 12 yrs., B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.
